He swung wide over the roiling sea - anyone out on ships was going to have a hell of a time in that - and then pushed for more altitude until the people below were the size of ants. "Hope you're not afraid of heights," he said belatedly; the churning water spreading out below them, with the massive monster in its midst, might not be a comforting sight. "Gonna dart in, get your spell off, then out of the way before it can take a bite out of us," he told her. "I got something for him, too."
His luck was with him. It was going to be a hell of a show. He stabilized the bike just above and behind the serpent's head. "Going in in three... two..."
The bike dove, the serpent approaching at a rapid rate; at the last minute, Cian swung it around, streaking in front of the monster's face, meeting its baleful yellow eyes with his own. "Now!" The dice were ready in his hand, he took a second to bring them to his mouth, then hurled. They exploded in streaks of lightning right in the monster's eyes.
