Liyal/Merri/Aspel/Ash/Drake/Ari/Nate
Why did no one tell him to run? Because Liyal really, really wanted to run! He took a look at Nate and thought about it for a second, but there was no way the two of them would make it back. If Liyal were in better shape - and had more spell casting power left - he might consider it. All those years of climbing trees meant he could probably make it a decent distance out of range from all the creatures around.
Instead, he reached into his bag of acorns and pulled a few out, grimacing as they dripped with briny water. This, he thought, would be no fun. At least his shoulder ached less, thanks to the guild Councilman.
He drew a deep shuddering breath and tried to clear his mind of all his fears. It didn't work very well, but he had to do something other than cower. He popped an acorn in his and started to summon up his power. The soft sound of crinkling leaves sounded in his ears, then the familiar popping in his consciousness.
Liyal spit the acorn out with a resounding pop, the Iguion by Ash rocked back with the force of its impact, a small shockwave released where it had struck. It sagged down, weakened by the force of it. Wasn't much stronger than an arrow, but Liyal could probably keep doing this until he ran out of acorns. Seed Cannon had been his first magic and was his most reliable. He just really hoped he didn't run out of acorns and have to start using rocks off the ground. Last time he did that he chipped a tooth!
