Liyal/Merri/Aspel/Ash/Drake/Ari/Nate
Perhaps it was the sight of the familiar faces - Aspel, Merri, two others she did not know - or perhaps it was the solid ground under her feet, sandy and uncertain as her footing was, but Ari managed to grit her teeth and tell Drake, "No." She was hardly shaking anymore. "I will help."
As Drake rushed forward to join Aspel in the fray, she attempted to get the water out of her instrument; it poured from the soundhole, and when she put her fingers on the strings, the sound was pathetically insufficient... but it came.
For now, that would have to be enough. She would mourn it later.
She brought it back under the tarp - at was almost certainly done for, but better some protection than none - and tried to maintain a close distance to the group fighting, knowing she would have to be closer than normal to ensure anything at all worked with her mandolin in its current state. Through the lump in her throat, she began Rousing Melody, attempting to give the gathered group some additional speed while she worked out what else was needed, and by whom.
