Ash/Liyal/Merri/Aspel
"Lo-lo-lo-loo!" His eyes as wide as the moon, Liyal had heard it before it came into view. The Serpent! In the middle of a fight wasn't the best time to pause and take in the sights, but he'd literally never even imagined something so big. Would it see them? Should they run?
And in just the way things worked for him, it was only when he wasn't paying attention that something went just right. "No. Freaking. Way!" A wave. A huge wave! Liyal took off running in the exact opposite direction, clapping his hands and trying to make a fuss so the others took notice of his IMMINENT. FLEEING.
But there was only so far one could get and the wave came down. He was dizzied as it crashed him into the ground and sent him tumbling head over heels. He rammed into at least two other objects and the second, horrifyingly enough, clung to him with what certainly weren't human limbs. Liyal struggled and, at the first taste of air, gasped for breath, sucking in a small amount of water too.
He coughed and sputtered, and cried out as something gnashed into his shoulder. Numbly, he grabbed for his knife and stabbed at it, glancing off armor, but giving it another go and it let him break free. His whole left arm burned, but he was alive and a few steps away from it. He checked himself and he still had his bow, but all his arrows had washed away.
Panicked, Liyal wiped water from his eyes and kept one eye on the weakened crab and looked around for his companions.
