Re: Siana/Jareth/Maria/Cian/Carolina
"Holy Horizon, eyes straining! Sacred Earth, roots splitting!" Maria's eyes were unfocused as she stared at the night sky. She had turned from her two comrades in front and devoted herself to protecting the woman behind them. Although she appeared to be able to take care of herself, they must not lose sight of an immediate exit or risk perishing.
"Ground, Sky, Heaven abound, lives praying!" Her sword did not move. In a rare move, Maria grasped her heart. Tonight. Tonight! She felt the religious ecstacy course through her. She gasped for breath and her body raised onto to the tips of her toes, back bowed, as if a great hand was lifting her up by the base of her spine.
Those great gold crags did not fade, but flickered brightly, casting no shadows with their light but for the writhing of their victims. Two crabs and a frog fell, no blood or fluid escaping their bodies, but their skin sagging as if they had suddenly been aged beyond their years. As soon as it was over, Maria blinked, her body upright again, and but for a slight pause, continued as if nothing had happened.
"Great Ghost, Holy interloper." She began again, her heart still fluttering.
