Eden/Li/Altair/Darius/Audrey
"Altair," Li had said in greeting and nodded, though his mind stalled over the odd statement. Come to think of it, he recalled his network device buzzing against his hip a while back. That was probably Altair's doing. Moreover, he hoped the thing was waterproof. "Of course," he feigned, as though he had arrived to the docks at Altair's instruction. The noble didn't need to know.
Another wave rose up to hit them, and Li tightened his grip on Eden's arm to steady them both, so they wouldn't be dragged to the hoard of monsters by the rushing tide. Barwater helped, and Li cast his gaze at Darius, recognizing the White Mage, before he saw Audrey join them. Not an ideal group, but it'd do. "Close enough," he said, addressing Eden. "We'll convince them if we have to." Li was never good with words, but he knew his way around a blade.
Before they could board a ship though, they needed to deal with the monsters the latest wave had brought forth. Like Altair, Li had noticed that they seemed to be scurrying away from everything. They were still blocking their way though, and it'd be impossible not to engage in combat by going through them, the quickest way to the ports. "Shall we pave a path?" He asked Eden, the barest of smiles curving the edges of his mouth as he drew his sword. "Follow close behind," he said to everyone, and began leading the way to the closest ship.
