She hated to consider that she was picking up Lady Demiel's mannerisms; as much as she strove to emulate proper examples of ladylike behavior, her time with the guild had taught her never to be rude to people regardless of the station of their birth. "I am certain you are correct," she said, as diplomatically as she could about the patching of old slacks - they paid people to do that? - and what a better use of gil would be.
"No need for thanks," she replied, attempting a small, polite smile. "I will be. You, as well." Was that the right thing to say? She supposed it would have to be; she had already said it.
With a nod of her head, she turned and headed in the direction of home, her posture ramrod straight and her gait easy, though she had to squash the urge to run.
