Siana/Jareth/Peony
He knelt beside the body, opposite of Banes, dispassionately taking in the lacerations. The skin was mottled and had the sheen of burned skin. Probably an injury from before her death - unless the killer had managed to find a way to speed up the healing process after a horrible burn, which he doubted unless it was a mage. But if that had happened, there was no way the body would be in this kind of condition.
"Identifying mark," he told Banes, finger hovering over the burn. "Might help." He wasn't sure what they could do with it, but it was something. He stood up and walked a bit away, looking around the alley itself. Nothing he could see that stood out or was helpful.
He was about to turn around, suggest that they go to wherever the hell it was the body had worked when he saw a black smudge out of the corner of his eye. Not the faded, empty black of long existing marks, but the dark, inky black of a new one. He narrowed his eyes and knelt beside it, running a finger over it; his finger came back coated.
