Altair/Ari/Alecta - Sackheim Inn
Altair had actually set the dinner reservation for 5:20, although he'd invited Alecta and Ari for 5:30. He liked to be early on principle, but particularly when he was expecting a show. He wanted the best seat in the house; after all, if he was paying for entertainment, he ought to at least get his money's worth.
The setting for this particular evening's entertainment was the Sackheim Inn. The Inn was known for their formal dinners, and even this early in the evening, many of the tables were already being seated. Altair preferred to be entertained in these sorts of aesthetically-pleasing environs. He was glad he'd been able to get a reservation on such short notice.
Ironically, it was the same place they'd been the last time they were all together, at the Founders Festival Ball. Altair had invited Alecta and Ari, two of his dearest friends, to a dine with him this eve. Unfortunately, although he got along with both women famously, neither of them seemed fond of each other. It put him in a terribly awkward position, having to sit back and watch while the two of them went at each other like two extremely territorial alley cats. Since it simply could not be avoided—they were like oil and water, really; it was dreadful—he might as well have a delicious meal and an expensive bottle of wine at hand while it went on.
