Cormac had been pouring over an equation. He wasn't an arithmetician, but then again, it wasn't super complicated. That was a lie. It was ridiculously complicated and he'd only unlocked one corner. It would be easier if he'd just ask someone, but that would mean he was asking for help, and then he'd probably end up sending them to another white mage. The thought made his brows furrow.
Luckily, a welcome distraction came via a knock to the door. He looked up just as his assistant came in to inform him that Drake had arrived and that he looked really bad.
Cormac took a moment to look at his clock and checked the time. That's probably why he'd gotten so frustrated. He'd been working on it for too long. "Send him in," he said as he closed rearranged the sheets on his desk. He paused noticing the woman didn't move. "What is it?"

A moment later, he was out the door into the waiting room where he noticed the man was seated in the chair. "Just a wolf bite," he said in a tone that suggested he was unamused.
