Her network device was beeping, but Quen smiled until she was sure they were past the young man, just because she knew Liyal. Then she pulled it out of her pocket and pressed the button for it to read Liyal's message to her.
"Liyal!" she exclaimed. That couldn't possibly be true. He was probably a perfectly nice young man, and people didn't walk around the city nude from the bottom down.
"It does feel like it's getting getting late," she agreed with him after a beat, stretching her arms above her head. "It's still hot though." She tilted her head a bit and added, "How far are we from the bazaar?" Now that they were talking about it, she wanted watermelon. It would be so cool and juicy and sweet, and watermelon was inexpensive in the summer. She hadn't paid attention to how much gil she'd given to Liyal, but surely they had enough between them.
