"Neeeh." Liyal declined. Quen was a good study-buddy. It was too embarrassing to study with younger teenagers, especially when he wasn't actually a scholar. She got it, they both had special situations. Even though she knew less magic than him, it seemed like she was catching up him pretty quickly. It was time Liyal got a little more serious about his own training.
But even getting serious about his training didn't make him like studying anymore. His teachers praised his writing, but that was part of his daily life. Without it he'd have to live being a mostly mute and he had as little intention of that as Quen had in being as shut-in.
Also, Quen would actually make him study really hard and he had little intention of doing that. He'd put some feathers in his hair and prop himself up in some common room and try out if girls came up to talk to him. It worked sometimes, looking different. Usually he could keep up the allure for a titillating 10 minutes or more!
The tower came on them alarmingly fast. If he was on the network Quen would notice, too. Guess he'd really have to hang out and try to do something. "G-g-good luck!" He wished her before they parted, saying goodbye with a bird whistle.
