Re: Maria/Ash/Cian/Ofelia/OPEN
The ghost had, somehow, snuck up on her. The explosions must not have caught it and her last prayer overshot it by a small margin. Maria's eyes readjusted to the world around her, a translucent visage in front of her, discoloring and distorting the image of falling knights and mages. It reached out with one trembling hand and she felt the pain of death shoot through her.
Maria kept her wits about her and started to mumble the words she'd practiced every morning and night since she learned them. Her cura spell unleashed itself just as the evil thing's face was centimeters from her own. The white light surrounding it sparked off and faded around her as its visible self was lifted further from the ground as it began to fly apart.
A different light crackled and she staggered back. another spell-caster. "Defend the escape point!" If the crystal fell, everyone here could be lost. "Faram!" Maria said, filled with strength and defiance, holy symbol on her chest beginning to glow again.
