[Vivi/Altair/Merri/Wil/Open]
Merri was at the point of having to use his staff more for balance than casting for his mana pool was running low when the captain seemed to appear out of nowhere, dispatching a handful of the creatures in his wake. A big grin spread across his face. "Captain!" he breathed, and the dread that he'd felt washed away. Wil was here; they would be okay now. "I'm so happy you're here!"
The large slash across his back, however, reminded Merri just where he was and what they were doing, and he visibly winced. Then Altair's voice called out to him, and he reached into his pack for a potion. "Yes!" he responded, and he stumbled towards the pair to give it to them. His foot found the rotting, detached foot of a fallen skeleton, however, and his efforts to maintain his balance failed. He fell to the ground, his ankle twisting in a painful way, and he cried out.
But Vivi needed the potion, so Merri didn't linger on the ground for too long before he tossed the bottle as best as he could towards Altair. "Here!" he said, hoping that he hadn't under or overthrown it. He climbed back to his feet, ignoring the pain in his ankle, and focused to cast Enfire on the captain's weapon, and then, after allowing himself a few seconds longer to catch his breath, he cast Cure -- on the approaching undead. The spell didn't work for sprained ankles, after all.
