Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
Aspel/Ari/Jareth/Kiernan
The wails across the battlefield could be heard from many directions, but the years spent paying keen attention to the bard's voice through plays, songs and various performances made the smith a bit partial to picking out Ari's intonations easier than others and the scream caught her attention immediately. "Watch your flank!" She tossed Kiernan's way before the dash was taken between where she stood and where Ari had positioned herself. Jareth, stepped in, protecting the bard while Aspel maneuvered in her armor, swatting down a weaker looking skeleton with a broad slash of her sword before shoulder blocking against a skeleton that had been trying to slip past their line.
And she was just in time, a heavy swing of sword crashed against the Mithril Armor as Aspel stepped in the way of another attack aimed for Ari, blocking it just in time to assure the bard did not take another hit.
Then came the call from Kiernan and the smith swiveled, shifting her position in attempts to turn her front away from the blast of dragon's breath that seemed sure to come, along with attempting to cover Ari from any potential harm the blast could do to her. In theory, it shouldn't be hard to manage considering how much larger Aspel was when in her Mithril full plate, but in the midst of combat, nothing could be assured. Even though the bard could not see Aspel's eyes, they locked on the other woman, her voice loud enough to be heard over the din of battle, but still low enough that it was unlikely to be heard by anyone else.
"Stay with us, you are our more powerful weapon." And with that, Lucy's attack done, Aspel would turn, throwing herself back into the thick of combat once more.
"Is that all you have?!" Came the vicious sounding spur at the zombies and ghosts as she readied to steelguard after provoking them once more.
