Redwald/Gale.
Imbued with Faith, Gale felt her spirit lift and the ease of her spells come more naturally -- indeed, they seemed to flow out of her now. Gale had a natural knack for magical theory, but the actual implementation of it was where she was just like everyone else. She had excelled because of hard work (closer to obsession); her own talents were minimal. Perhaps she would have done better with sword and shield, but again, that had never been her calling, had it?
That being said, it was better if Red took the front line -- physically, Gale could not offer much besides her spells, and they were best cast from a distance. The time mage readied her staff, culling through her repertoire of spells in order to prepare something suitable. She had already erected barriers for both herself and Redwald; she had cast Gravity; perhaps the wise decision now would be to cast Silence on the zombie mage, if only to remove its one weapon.
Gale exhaled quickly, sending her Silence spell over where Red and the zombie mage had begun to grapple in an oddly-matched little skirmish. She was glad to see it take affect; the mage's spell fizzled on impact. Gale could have sworn she saw its expression shift -- shock, perhaps -- and bit back her smile, her pride swelling.
Perhaps too soon; she only had time to hear the whistle of an arrow before it lodged itself in her shoulder. She gave a surprised scream, whipping around to see that behind her, two zombie knights stood, armed to the teeth in chainmail and swords in their hilts, one with a pilfered bow and arrow pulled taut. This time, Gale had time to dodge; it screamed past her and into the dark, giving her only time to shout, "Red! Look out!!" before the two knights rushed forward. Gale had time to send forward a paltry thunder spell, but it was clear that up against the two of them and her magical sources depleting, it would be a tough battle for her to manage on her own -- if she even could.
