"So what do they want?" Siana mused quietly, more to herself. She did not like any of this, not one bit. Having never quite understood magic herself, she used to think of it as nothing but trouble though the past year had given her reassurance otherwise. Now, here it was, and this time nothing good could come of it, not unless they stopped whoever was behind this -- fast.
But they had no suspects. The only name Siana had was one Jareth Monaco, and there was nothing enough to warrant bringing him in, and this new line of evidence spoke to his favor rather than against it. It helped none that Peony had no leads in the tower, either; certainly, there were mages, or even simply those who could cast spells without claiming wizardry, outside the guild running about in the city, but there was no way to know of any of them.
So Siana only nodded. "Thank you, Peony. I don't know what we can do with this information yet, and though it is troubling, it is far more than we had before." She sighed. "I fear, though, what the culprit might be after, and I suspect that we have not yet seen the last of the murders. Not unless we find new information quickly." A pause. "Have you been able to study the memstone enough to determine if there is a link between the Necrohol incident and the murders? Are the symbols from the same language?"
