Siana tried not to twitch with impatience as Peony settled in -- really, what was the point of trying to be prim and proper now? But Peony had proven herself time and time again, and if she felt a few extra seconds would not see anyone else dead so soon, then so be it. With a sigh, Siana pursed her lips and let the other woman talk, for Peony would not waste words.
Siana fell into her seat behind her desk and watched as the ancient-looking scroll unfurled atop it. She leaned forward, though the symbols meant little more than ominous and horrific clues to whoever had performed the murders, but clearly, they meant something to Peony.
"I know very little," Siana admitted simply to Peony's query, but where her knowledge in the subject lacked, her EKP training could only begin to fill in the gaps. "Are you saying that these symbols have magical origins or intentions? And if so, what are those intentions?"
