"Not at all," Lex replied confidently, promptly setting aside her pen and papers as she was greeted. There was more than enough time for her to continue that particular work later, she knew, and was glad to see that her "appointment" for the afternoon had found her without, it seemed, too much trouble at all.
She gestured to the seat opposite. "I have taken the opportunity to collect a number of books which I feel would be most valuable to our study," she explained, gesturing to a stack of tomes to her left. They were large, and ancient in appearance--likely rare and worth a decent amount of gil, as the University was privileged to keep an enviable collection of research materials.
