"I see." And she did, in a strange way; though the battle in the cave had not felt like any test she had ever undergone, what Ifrit had said before vanishing...
"Nude and bare-fisted in the rain - well, he certainly could have made quite the impression, depending." She giggled; the mental image was crystal clear in her mind. The warrior was quite well-built, too - it would not be a worthwhile mental image otherwise.
"Believe it or not, all of this is quite helpful," she said sincerely. "Abstract and exaggerated information still helps; I am not entirely invested in facts for this, only what might be interesting. There may be a tale or a song from me in turn, before long." There wouldn't be - why tempt fate? - but it had seemed the easiest way to cover for her interest.
Catching a look at the clock on the far wall - how had an hour passed so quickly? - Ari said, "Perhaps I oughtn't to distract you further from your studies." One did not overstay one's welcome, after all. "From what you were working on when I arrived, I assume you're busy this afternoon, but perhaps I can treat you to coffee next week? Or tea," she added; some people did prefer it for some reason. "Let me know on the network when you are free. I know of just the place. You'll like it, I think - everyone likes Marielle's pastries."
The offer made and farewells and pleasantries exchanged, Ari headed out of the university and back into the sunny afternoon. Now that she thought of it, a visit to Marielle's before returning to work seemed just the thing.
