Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
For the briefest moment, Aspel almost had to wonder if Ari was being sarcastic with such words, though, the tone used would indicate otherwise, and with that thought slipping away, the smith would simply let the conversation, and situation go for now. Things would resolve themselves in time, if for better or worse, and that was perhaps, the only thing she could have faith in right now. Though... Somehow, she thought Ari would be alright regardless of the end result.
A huff of air was let out, followed by a low, throaty "Mm." in response to Ari's commentary about their situation and Aspel's actions. As the bard was small in comparison, a life of performance having her back instead of a life of Knight's training, her body wasn't difficult to maneuver. Care would be taken as Ari was pulled, the smith shifting back, to lay them both down on the couch. Of course, it really wouldn't be big enough to properly allow two grown woman to lay on it without at least one of them nearly laying on the other, which, considering their size and builds, the smith was careful to allow Ari's weight to be that on top.
Shifting a moment, after having moved them into a laying position, Aspel cleared her throat. Pausing, she'd then reach for the books on the coffee table, pulling them both back and holding them in such a way that Ari could easily take hers. "Your book." With that, Aspel would simply open her own book, using a single hand to flip open to the page she had last been upon and quite calmly began to read, the book balanced in the crook of her elbow.
