Ari/Aspel - 2:30 AM
A heavy clearing of Aspel's throat would be taken, easily heard by anyone within range, her eyes still lowered away from the other woman and a hand raised, fingers beginning to comb through her own hair. "Yes." A pause the smith's gaze rose, seeming to have found something off to the side of the stairs to focus her eyes on. Shifting, a huff of air was let out, her stance losing a bit of its stiffness, the extreme level of control falling away into a bit more unsure, awkwardness. With the next bit of words that came forth, another clearing of Aspel's throat would be taken, the hand falling away from the head and finally, eyes would meet Ari's briefly, the assurance with such a gentle tone seeming to have eased her nerves. The smith's eyes rose to meet Ari's briefly before they dipped away again, a nod would be given with a low "Mm."
Ari's continued gentleness, her soft attempts at assurance and tenderness that the bard presented continued to sooth Aspel's nerves. Her body language becoming less awkward, less fidgety and more firm in her stance once again, as she normally stood. "As you wish." Her voice was calmer, a bit unsure still, but far more than just even seconds before. The response made her feel respected, and as much as Ari pushed, teased and taunted, even at the end of the night, even when the bard clearly wanted something else, she did not push further, did not press Aspel's boundaries and... It was a very pleasant relief. The last time she'd been even remotely entangled with someone... When she felt drawn to another, wanting to find herself in their presence... It had not been like this.
And another clearing of her throat as her gaze would rise to meet Ari's again. "Of course, any time you are in need of such, please do not hesitant to ask." The sentence started off strong but about half way through seemed to become a little shaken again, but still it was pushed through. Wetting her lips, a moment was taken as Aspel stood there before shifting and moving to take up one of Ari's hands again, a squeeze being given to it before another hesitation was taken. A brief moment of consideration was given before her head dipped and a kiss was pressed against the back of fingers once more.
"Thank you." The words were low, muttered quickly before the hand was released carefully. "Good night, Ari. Sweet dreams when you they find you." And with that, a faint smile would rise before Aspel moved to leave.
