Ari/Aspel - 2:30 AM
A soundless whimper died in her throat, causing only a long ragged exhale in its wake, at the sound of Ari's moan. Aspel was a terribly sense driven sort, and the assault of honey, the pleasant vocal intonation, the soft and faintly sweet tasting skin... Perhaps, she'd gotten herself a bit in over her head. Desires were a terribly troublesome thing and the smith had never been particularly skilled when it came to moderation, finding it often much more in her interest to partake of none, or to wallow in all of what had caught her interest.
When the bards back arched, her leg tightening and her arm wrapping around the smith's neck, Aspel's hand pushed up Ari's thigh, her hand grabbing at the other woman's hip and trying to pull the bard even closer, even if that wasn't possible and allowed for short nailed to dig into the others flesh through the fabric which continued to separate them. The next kiss was met with enthusiasm, an almost fevered push back, a demanding grab at control of the action as her head dipped down and an attempt at deepening the kiss was made before needing to break for breath. The air almost felt freezing in comparison and Aspel pressed Ari's back more firmly against the door, letting her forehead rest against the other woman's with eyes closed, while holding Ari there, as the other began to speak.
Though the invitation was a clear point at a firm desire for continuation, the fact that it was vocalized, even in that heated tone, allowed Aspel's brain to begin reining in control again. Her breathing would pause for a moment, grip remaining firm but muscles stiffening briefly before, with the slightest start of hesitance they would begin to relax. Swallowing, the smiths hand would fall away from the bards hip, shifting her stance so that holding on would not be so easy and Ari's body would not longer be pinned firmly between the down and Aspel's own. "I.." Came the initial attempt at a response, but even with that, there was pause in the tone, reservation as she drew back both physically and internally.
The last thing would be to pull her forehead away from Ari's before Aspel's eyes opened and another swallow would be taken. An attempt to use the action as a grounding factor for herself and her brain. "fear that will not be appropriate tonight." The swallow this time would spike in her throat, causing a slight shot of pain to help her relinquish her mind and hormonal drives.
Aspel's movements were slow, painfully controlled, to the point of seeming over controlled. Like someone who felt that if they did not slowly back away, they surely would encounter some wrath far greater than they had ever known. "I do hope this will not mar your evening." Her eyes had dropped away from Ari as the smith had shifted back, untangling herself from the other woman's grasp the best she could, as much as Ari would allow. "My.... Apologies... If it does."
She just couldn't go though with it, she couldn't continue this. Not here. Not now.
