Fortunately, between all of them, the wolves never stood much of a chance. Just as fortunately, everyone was still standing unaided when the last wolf fell. Realistically, it was a good victory, and Ari couldn't help but wish that her other issues could be resolved so easily - with a song and a few fireballs.
Maybe she could try Confusing her mother into leaving town......................
She was already making her way over to Aspel (just in case - Aspel could well still be standing with seven things broken, it wouldn't be the first time) as the grateful merchant made his way slowly and awkwardly down from the tree to which he had retreated when the wolves had appeared. "All's well that ends well," she said cheerfully. "Now, the real question: how are we getting all of this back to town, considering the birds spooked?"
An afternoon of chasing chocobos around the Outlands still sounded better than going home, so she wasn't particularly bothered.
