Maria thought slowly on Siana's answer, then slowly nodded. She was thought of as the patient one, but Theo seemed content waiting for her when she thought carefully about what to say next. Honor confused Maria, it was different than morality. It sounded much like something nobles could afford and ill else anyone else. It both upheld morality and stretched it to allow for personal gain. A morality of reputation, a morality of public perception of conduct. To honor one's self was to be moral, it was said, but one did not need honor to be moral. She prayed about these questions.
