Emily came to reach out and take Cormac's hand into hers, "Thank you for coming here." They were getting close, so close to where nothing stood in their way. Her plans would be completed, she would take her family's fortune, her parents would have nothing, apparently one wouldn't even have their life, but it would be over. As much as she knew how many people would want her mother dead, putting her in jail to rot away, especially surrounded by those that knew what she participated in . . . it was justice that death could not deal out.
"When we find out who it is, we'll know what we can do to make sure that they don't get caught," she said, "whoever did it did everyone a favor." Though they did her a favor, whether they realized it or not. She wanted this to be solely upon her parents, and to let that person get away with it. Her motivations were not entirely noble, but then again, they never were, but she did give credit and help where it was due.
She reached up to kiss Cormac, placing her hand on his shoulder as she did. "Stay a while longer though. I've had too many people I don't want to see here today, I'd like for someone I actually want to see to be here."
