James had actually been in the Outlands already. As per his orders, he had remained close to the city, though, so it wasn't too much of a detour for him to get to the meeting point. It would have probably been quicker for him to go directly to the spot where the trouble had been reported, but then he risked meeting up with the group, and then he could have ended up alone when he might need help, or they might find themselves one short when facing danger. No one of them was so powerful to completely hold the group up in a fight, but one person could decidedly make a difference in a close fight.
Coming upon both Eden and Cyrus, James nodded his usual solemn but amicable greeting. "Good morning," he said, echoing Cyrus's words. James was not so heavily armed as others in the group, requiring only his claws, and his bow if they needed ranged firepower. Like the other Rangers, he tended to travel light since they were often alone and on the move.
