Carolina only smiled enigmatically when Li sat down, and picked up her chopsticks. She picked up a piece of tofu and popped it in her mouth, chewing. She wasn't prepared for the subject change when it came: her smile vanished, but she calmly continued chewing as she set down her chopsticks. Then she swallowed and took a sip of tea.
"Is that so?" she asked quietly, her dark eyes sharp and her face unreadable. "And what would qualify a religious organization as a 'cult' in the eyes of your comrade?" she asked in the same calm tone. If Li had intended the warning to be nothing more than an offhand comment, he would be mistaken. Carolina took threats on her life seriously, and intended to collect as much information as she could on her would-be assassin before letting the subject drop.
