super lavitz, the hero of bahamut (gripes) wrote in emillion, |
Something had been gnawing at Lavitz's gut throughout his ride with Amarant, who wasn't quite behaving like his normal self. He didn't know if he could call it a sense per se, but something felt-- wrong. That worry only intensified on the quick dive down, when they finally took in the shapes below, reminding him too much of his fight with the behemoth. Now there were more beasts, more fighters in the field, the colourful trails of magick and shouting echoing around him as his dragon dropped down.
Rather than cursing himself for never remembering to wear his armor on an afternoon flight, especially with how often he was finding himself in the fray of things, he unhooked his halberd, and waited. Calculated his best move.
When the dinosaur appeared from behind the line of trees, meaninglessly whipping branches and foliage aside with its tail, Lavitz gave pause. He wouldn't be able to take down a thing that size on his own, not even with the help of Amarant from the sky. There was no way. His mind raced, details and strategies rushing past -- small arms, most likely useless; powerful tail, would need it for balance; sharp teeth, because why wouldn't it have sharp teeth? -- and settled on the only possibility.
It rushed toward him with a roar that rattled deep in his chest, and he cast Protect.
