James entered when he was invited in. Aspel's attire did give him pause for a moment. Ah, Sunday. Right. Having no understanding of the Church whatsoever, it hadn't occurred to him that today was different than any other day. He knew Aspel was one of the devout, and though the whole idea of religion perplexed him, he also knew that her devotion was genuine, which was somehow honorable in his estimation. Though he really couldn't say why he felt that way.
