James chuckled. "I think you gave me a fair run for my money. I certainly didn't come out unscathed. But I'll keep that in mind tomorrow." Of course, he could never actually let an opponent win. Too many years when losing meant death. He figured Cyrus knew the truth of it.
Fireworks were fine. James appreciated the beauty of them, though he wasn't much for the crowds that gathered. He would rather find a perch somewhere - like Cyrus suggested - on top of a building or a distant tree. So, he nodded. He could have another drink or two and still be fine tomorrow morning. Let his nerves settle before he braved the stupidity of the crowd outside. If he timed it right, they might all head towards the pyrotechnic display and he could make a way around in the other direction. "Well, enjoy them. I think I'm going to have another few here.
