Nightmares of being dragged into darkness for demons, and monsters of men, had turned into nightmares regarding her own, and Drake’s death. It seemed that since giving into the use of Dark, the previous topic of nightmares had waned, but it did not completely disappear. It simply… Took a back seat to other… More stressing matters at hand. Regardless, over the years of nightmares, the broken sleep, and other matters, the sleeping Draughts she bought from Cormac - in mass supply - always had helped, but…. Well. The effectiveness of them had started to… Lack over time. Years ago, she had started with half a draught to a full one per night, and that lasted her well enough for some time…. Yet, over time it had turned into a solid one, and now one had turned into two. Which was… Worrisome at best. Ari had spoke against the draughts several times before, and when the bard was about, Aspel opted to be sung to sleep but… In the recent past few months, that had been less and less feasible. Now though, the smith sat, awaiting the potion maker’s arrival. Hopefully, they could get to the bottom of this, and some… Professional advice would assist in easing her nerves. He’d been afraid of resistance building for this particular client. He’d monitored the doses of potion that needed to be given in order for the magic to take effect. With all the recent attacks, she’d become an even busier woman, with less time to take more holistic approaches to finding sleep. As much as he enjoyed the increased bump in money every so often, the truth was, if it was wholly ineffective, he was not going to be making any. “Councilor Cassul,” he said coming into the room. He had a little pad in his hand and he was scrolling through the information on it. “If we up your dosage again, we’re most likely to put you on par with putting down a behemoth,” he joked as he took a seat. “How is your current dosage treating you? Are you feeling any ill effects? Sluggish? Depressed? Anything?” There were steps, but they’d been through everything so many times already, he trusted she’d bring something up. In all honesty, he couldn’t help her if she didn’t. tbc via log.... |
