The amount of work required to even be considered had been obscene thus far and quite frankly, Aspel was beginning to wonder why anyone would bother at all with the extensive list of forms, documents and rounds, rounds, of interviews. Admittedly though, she could see how it would undoubtedly weed out much of the unwanted applications, but if she read or had to sit through one more bit of "if, than, and, or, but" section of a form or speech, the smith swore she would probably shred something to pieces. This was why, the bar would be the most ideal location. Here, there would be no forms or unwanted and needless conversation that she could not dismiss or get around in some manner or another. If she did not wish to answer a question, she would not, if she did not wish to continue listening to something, she would walk away, tonight would be as simple as that. Though, some of the company that she had been assured Aspel had to wonder if she would be able to stand for long. Regardless, she'd set off to The Duckling and had managed to acquire herself a glass of mead which would easily be started in on before anyone could berate her with any questions or inquisitions. As far as Aspel was concerned, she was not about to have any point in that entire night when she would be without drink in hand, and certainly, her relations with Vivi and most recent well paying run would assist in assuring that desire remained a reality throughout her entire stay. |
