"Truly," she stated simply. Criminals said that often, and this man seemed particularly disdainful of the EKP. She knew the possibilities: either he truly had nothing to hide, or whatever it was he didn't want the law to know about he had hidden extremely well, or not here at all, or he hoped that by saying those words, she would leave him alone. Unfortunately, he did not seem green enough for that last one.
But she had nothing concrete to support her suspicions, and so she could not ask for paperwork or ask to investigate. "What kind of business do you keep here?" It was the only appropriate question to ask at this point.
