Who: Siana and Cian What: A run-in Where: The Docks When: Late this afternoon Rating: PG13 for language Status: Complete~
It was difficult to see an assignment out of the sewers as a break, and Siana had left for her patrol telling herself not to be ungrateful. Many peacekeepers would have preferred a docks assignment to one down below after all. Still, a sewers patrol would be directly related to her investigation on the murders -- now plural, which was unfortunate but not unexpected considering the nature of the first one -- even if she would need five long and hot baths to cleanse herself entirely.
But she also understood; the peacekeepers were stretched thin these days, and she still had no partner. Her superiors seemed hesitant on letting anyone go down into the sewers alone even before the murder, and now with the killer on the loose, they were doubly concerned.
Fortunately, the other peacekeepers had been informed, or so Siana had been reassured, that if they found anything at all out of place or seemed like it might possibly be related to her case, they were to report to her immediately. That brought her some comfort, at least.
Finally, as the sun began to dip toward the horizon, her patrol came to an end, and she made her way past a group of warehouses and kept her eyes peeled both for her relief and any signs of trouble. Once this was done, she could get back to her office and mull over what little clues she had been able to gather from the crime scene while she waited to see if Peony's research turned up anything of use. Many of these warehouses were still being rebuilt, but little in this district was completely restored anyway.
