Raghnall, on the other hand, was right up front taking point. Though his observational skills weren't necessarily the best of the bunch, his ability to withstand damage made him one of the best people in case of an accidental ambush, since he had a better chance of holding off any attackers and giving everyone else time to prepare for the ensuing battle. That, and he had a tendency to walk quickly to begin with, so unless he had been assigned a different task he typically took the lead.
The berserker had been uncharacteristically quiet throughout their trip, mind on other things as a few of his comrades were aware of. Not too many, since Raghnall didn't like spreading his dirty business around. It was actually somewhat surprising that he had caved to telling Rictor as easily as he did, and that was mostly because he knew the other man wouldn't judge.
Still, that didn't mean that he wasn't focused on the mission at hand. Keeping his eyes and ears open, he had his hammer at the ready on the off-chance there proved a need for it. He hadn't asked any questions about the mission, trusting that the reasons they were out here were enough to convince their leaders that this was important. He was a good second in command in that respect.
