Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
The smile would remain forced, regardless of how honest she wished it could be. "Some days more than others." It was hard to explain on most days, but Aspel found it hard to belong when she couldn't be honest about who and what she had been for so long. Would she even be able to tell the entire truth if she was presented with a chance to do so at this point? Or would she forever continue to avoid all topics and problems relating to her past?
"I would be loathe to," The words came out precise, definite and hesitate yet strong as the smith's eyes remained away from Ari's. It would most likely seem odd, perhaps even silly or stupid in some way but perhaps it would be best to finally just say it. "to invade upon space, or in a time, in which I may not be welcome." Aspel's mouth opened as if to speak again before clamping shut for a moment, as if she was struggling to speak. "I understand you have given invitation, and... and claim them to be open but," Aspel shifted, perhaps a bit uncomfortable. "I fear I struggle to understand you and your desires... Comfort zones, as well."
Wetting her lips then swallowing, one arm would be brought to rest across the back of the bench, the other resting comfortably against the arm. "There was no concern with the closeness." The smiths gaze would still remain removed, as if it was the only way she could speak in this moment, and she could feel fear settling into her bones.
