“It does.” Ultima burst forth from her fingertips, a searing magical light flashed to life, shooting forth to envelop the fighter - hopefully - before he could reach her. A man of his size likely could cause significant damage to her (even with her stacked buffs), and that was not a part of her plans. Even a fighter such as Theo couldn’t shrug off a violent burst of powerful magic, and the air around him turned deadly. As Ragnarok’s blade sank down, the berserker found his attack interrupted--blinded by Ultima’s brutality, he felt the entirety of his body explode with unimaginable pain. This was the power of a Sage, he thought, howling out in fury as the spell began to shred apart his flesh. Long moments later, Theo realized he was on his knees with his sword laying out in front of him. Blood oozed from his forehead, dripping along the side of his face and down the groove of his nose. “Why?” He tried to reach for his greatsword once again, but every movement of his body summoned only endless waves of crushing agony. “Why have you done this,” he screamed at her, as if he was no longer a man but carved down now to the ruins of an animal. “What do you want?” The screaming, the thrashing of a man like beast before her seemed to obtain no concern, no worry, no sorrow, and no sympathy from the woman once titled Sage. Now, with glossed eyes, the posture and drive of someone obsessed with a possession from otherworldly beings she looked down upon him mercilessly. “Because this world is too good for you.” Really, that was all the explanation she felt she needed to offer him, as another blast of Ultima was summoned to her fingers, “Because, we can make it better without the likes of you.” and blasted through what remained of the man in front of her. Blinding his vision, the pain was excruciating and unlike anything he had ever known before. The second wave of Ultima seared over his consciousness, blotting out the scattered remainder of his thoughts. The berserker dropped and remained unmoving. |
