"Hmm." Nate thought about it. Actually... "You know, sticky goop would be pretty awesome. I'll have to try it." Probably wouldn't need anything complicated to deliver it, unlike the paralytics he liked to play with. Just a thin glass sphere that'd shatter when thrown. It'd need to be quick-drying and strong, to have any kind of effect, but it wouldn't need to be long lasting. Maybe some kind of monster goop would work?
He'd managed to distract himself. "OK, thanks," he said, and dug around for his enchanted jeweler's loupe - magicite glowed when he used it, which made it very useful for this kind of work. He'd spent enough time digging around after dropping it, though, that he'd attached a leather band to wrap around his wrist.
Detection device prepared and look-out positioned, Nate levered himself up and over the flimsy wooden partition, landing with a squelch. Euch. Kitchen peelings. He pulled a folded bag from one of his pouches, and started to dig.
