As with much else, Li had no strong feelings one way or another on hunting. The belief back home was that every soul had the potential to rise to a higher realm in its next life, but that had little bearing on necessity. Even after several decades of Pharist values stifling tradition, hunting remained popular for the sake of the catch. There was a benefit to it, but not one Li needed any longer; it was more convenient to buy meat from the market than explore the wilderness out here. At least he was being paid for accompanying the group now, though his presence so far was hardly worth the money he was offered.
He watched them react to his notice accordingly, shifting the responsibility of the task around until it fell onto the Squire. Following Storm as he made his way to the underbrush, Li stopped just behind Gale and Altair, staying close in case he needed to act quickly for whatever reason. But it was just a hare, and Storm struck it down, slaying it in one meager strike. Li looked away when Storm began working on the carcass, eyes diligently on their surroundings until the others would continue moving.
