Hashmal/Kiernan/Lavitz/Loch
Kiernan had no sooner found ground when it gave way yet again, sending him onto his back with a loud CRACK!
He cried out angrily from the pain, gathering himself to his feet but finding that he struggled harder, this time, to stay standing, to keep his eyes open, and his arm was damn near impossible to move without searing pain overwhelming him. Stars flooded his vision, and he saw that the monster was still standing, the son of a fucking bitch. Kiernan refused to see the fight over; he had never learned the art of retreat, not when there were others still fighting around him, when innocents were still dying around him.
Again, he looked for his companions, and it took a while for him to locate Lavitz but when he did, he didn't like the view. One of the buildings nearest Lavitz had had its last straw and was beginning to crumble. Adrenaline overtook Kiernan in that moment the instant he noticed a larger piece of debris precariously getting ready to topple down, and he dashed towards his friend.
"MOVE!" he shouted, and--
--something hit him, pinned him to the ground, and Kiernan felt the taste of iron in his mouth as he felt consciousness slip away, but it wasn't dark that he saw before he did. Images of his life, moments he lived and moments he did not, the moments he never realized he wanted to have lived, came to him, before there was nothing more.
