If the kid was in that… Fuck fuck fuck. Still, he had to check, and he climbed up the steps, giving the rubble a cursory glance, looking for anything that seemed out of place. That was when he saw Sky, pinned by a large piece of drywall, but alert. Alive. Thank Faram. “Sky,” Jareth said, rushing to the kid’s side, surveying the wall for how to best get it off the kid. “If you’re alert, tell me what the fuck happened.” This would keep him busy, at least. And if he was busy talking, he was busy not dying. Sky still saw stars, and the world spun around him. “Uhhhhhh… uh?” he managed, his eyes trying to focus on the hume beside him. Voice sounded familiar, though the familiarity wasn’t necessarily a welcome one. Did he die, and Faram decided to punish him? But this guy, whoever he was, was asking him a question. What the fuck happened? Good question. Sky tried to speak again, his mind really only focused on: “Big... ugly ass… turtle thing… ugh.” He really wanted to puke now. Before he could, though, he noticed a bright, shimmering light just behind the figure -- oh, hey, wasn’t this Pyr’s mentor? What was he doing here? Didn’t he know that he was Sky and not Pyr? They didn’t do those sorts of switcharoos anymore! -- and he pointed. “Shiny… rocks?” Was he seeing that right? Jareth stilled at Sky’s words, slowly turning to see the elemental behind him. “Fuck,” he said with feeling. There was no time for being careful - with a fluid motion, he removed the wall pinning Sky to the debris. “Stay here.” Then he went to buy them time. |
