First there had been the trip this past weekend, which, while it had been successful for materials, and the conversation with Ari had perhaps... Been beneficial, especially after their meeting to heal on Sunday night had seemed almost... Normal. Well, in comparison to how it had been several days before. Though, at the same time, Sunday night had been so odd. Admittedly, Aspel was out of it, she had been injured and in pain for much of it and Ari had been mostly focused on tending to her wounds, as the smith had asked, but something felt different. Aspel had tried shaking the feeling but it had stuck, lingering in the back of her head and not a lick of sense could be made of it. Then, Vivi had prodded at her tender and confused space by potentially bringing Ari into all of this mess. When the other woman knew, and Aspel knew, Vivi knew, had done it intentionally, that was what had set the smith off. However, before long, the heat of her anger had fallen away and she found herself attempting to console and offer advice to the other woman. It was almost hilarious in its own way how the conversation had evolved and then Vivi had brought it back to prodding. At least, in that time, it had been less with a sharp stick and more with a gentle poke. Regardless, their talk had devolved into somewhat more simple matters, even if they were a bit deeper than Aspel was accustomed to. A final agreement to meet at Vivi's estate had been reached in order to discuss matters further, and while the smith wasn't entirely sure how far any of these conversations would go, she most certainly could use a bottle of mead or two. Making her way up to Vivi's estate, Aspel felt her chest tighten slightly, a cold fear running through her. What could happen? Where could this lead? Swallowing, fingers rolled into a fist before a heavy breath was relieved and her hands relaxed and the proper signal would be given for allowance of entrance. For sake of what had been said though, and for sake of their friendship, as Vivi had never proven to be anything but reliable and worthy friend, Faram help her, Aspel would indeed try. |
