Perdita Arkady/Cecilia Fennes: Coeurl Attack.
It did not matter what had brought Cecilia to the outer edge of Emillion. Whimsy - it was probably whimsy. What mattered now was that she was there, caught in the sudden battle that ensued as the beasts came into the city. She had never seen anything like it, though she was open to admitting that there was a lot that she did not know. Wasn't that why she had come to this city? To find out more?
Or maybe it was to fight coeurls. It was difficult to say now. Normally Cecilia would not engage in a fight by herself, but it was hard to not notice the piercing scream that cut through the air filled with clashing swords and whizzing spells. Even with the cacophony, it was like a knife straight to her ears. Cecilia whirled around, eyes searching before she found the source - one of the squires being hit with Thunder by a coeurl, cornered.
Well, that would not do.
It had been a while since she had used the spell, not since she was a Blue Mage, but one of Cecilia's greatest talents was her quick spellcasting. But the longer she took, the more of that attack poor Perdita would feel. She struggled for control and then felt the ice magic pulse out of her like a wave. It hit the coeurl, snapping it out of its spell; it stumbled back, howling, a little sluggish as the ice wrapped its cold around it. Cold wave was useful because it not only attacked everything around her, but also slowed enemies down.
It wasn't down yet, but Cecilia had little time to waste. She rushed to Perdita, concern present in her face. "Are you alright?" she asked, her voice free of the usual sing-song.
