Mag/Aspel/Ari/Lavitz VS Dreadguard
Perhaps it was the sight of Aspel swinging her slighthammer that compounded the illusion. The momentary belief that the batting of wings behind them was a long time ago, in Ordalia, and she would look back to see Warwick dig his claws into the earth and roar at the sky.
Lavitz appeared at her side, and she saw the glint of sunlight against red scales instead of black, a much smaller shape. She forced herself to take a deep breath, and the air raked claws down her throat. The amulet underneath her armor remained inert, as it had been for years.
"We're not wounded," she said to Lavitz.
And regretted her words almost instantly, when the Dreadguard took it as an invitation to make amends. It swatted at Mag like one who swats at an annoying fly, and she was knocked to the ground with the force of the impact. She felt the armor dig into her side before she looked down and saw it had been damaged around her waist and bent by the attack. There seemed to be no blood, and she was able to stand, slightly dizzy but functional.
"Time to be proud of your student!" she shouted to Lav, and cast Power Break on the beast.
