Oh Faram. That was her first, and only thought as she scrambled to assure she’d be presentable at the sudden intrusion of another voice floated through the air. Fingers quickly ran through her hair while Drake spoke with the woman on the other side of the door, before tucking in, and smoothing over her shirt. Realistically, both herself, and Drake had straightened up - to some degree - before he’d even moved to leave. The last thing she’d need was someone catching a peek through the door of her partly naked, and completely debauched…
“Good day.” A soft smile was offered to the woman before her as Aspel prayed nothing smelled too terribly within the confines of her office. The next time her and Drake… Met… They’d have to leave a window cracked.
“Hello!” Eden repeated as Aspel didn’t seem to be upset about her just popping in. She didn’t appear to notice anything amiss as she was very intent on poking around in her little pouch and pulled out a box of chocolates. “I brought you something for White…” she said as if she was looking for something specific and then doubling back through her search, her face alighted with a look of triumph. “White Day!!”
She held the box out to the councilor. “You’re always baking for everyone all the time. Thank you for your delicious food,” she said looking up expectantly with a smile.
Oh dear sweet baby Ajora. Aspel could swear her heart stopped beating when Eden paused in speech. Then Eden continued to speak, and the sentinel prayed that the relief she felt did not display across her face. “Why thank you, Eden.” A bow of her head was offered along with the acceptance of the chocolates.
“And thank you for your consideration, but please, do know that I choose to engage in such activities as I believe these are things that the guild deserves. It is no burden upon me.” The soft smile remained as Aspel spoke. There were some things that were merely just as simple as that.
“Oh, I’m sure!” Eden said cheerily, “but it doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate you for it.” While Drake had engaged her in a hug, she engaged Aspel, giving her a tight squeeze. “Okay, I have a lot more deliveries to do.” That relayed she released the councilor and made her way out of the office. Backtracking a little down the hall, she stuck her head in the door one last time. “And you might want to open a window. Just saying.” With that she was gone.
