Kiernan chuckled and placed his order, ignoring the arched brow the waiter gave him as he did so before he turned back to the ladies.
"Is it wrong to want all of the above? I never say no to beautiful company, warm beds, or Aspel's legendary pastries. Especially if it'll keep Lucy at bay. And--" He turned to Audrey and winked. "--the best nights are had with more alcohol than you know what to do with, even if I have to limit myself to just the one tonight. More's the pity for me." At least the medical bills this time had been a little cheaper, and Elise, the cleaning lady at Lindwyrm, had been insistent that she feed him lunch when he dropped off his clothes this morning. Ah, Elise. What would he do without her? It was good that she had fared well after the attack; he doubted he'd get clean laundry for free anywhere else in the city.
The waiter returned with his drink, colored blue with an exotic fruit from the south he'd only had once -- he much preferred the flavoring than the actual fruit itself -- and mixed with pineapple juice and coconut rum. The pineapple and cherry garnish on the rim of the glass just made it more appetizing, and he happily took a sip as Lille suggested the drinking game. He raised his eyebrows and finished his drink, a wide grin on his face.
"Gils! I haven't played that since I was with the Rangers!" He nudged Lille playfully. "Does your brother know you play drinking games?" He took out a coin of his own, eager to play. Good thing he could only afford the one drink, and Lille was in good company; she'll be taken care of, and Zacheus won't have to kill him.
