Aspel Cassul: When in doubt, Aspel! (weaponry) wrote in emillion,
Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that she'd been doggedly playing hide and seek with this blasted tailor all day, Aspel may have been much more inclined to take up her normal position at the bar and simply stay there for the rest of the evening. Though, it did look like there may be some relief on the horizon when she noted there were several people she was quite familiar with already in the Duckling this evening. Also, thankfully, she'd found a plethora of ways to evade the man and pawn him off on others throughout the course of the day which made their interactions quite hilarious at most times. Then his insistence about getting her out of her armor was laughable. With all the help she'd recruited the man would have no easy time of pinning her down at least. Though, she'd have to be careful to assure it remained that way. Obtaining an order of mead from the bar Aspel was half way through the glass when a sudden noise caught her attention and her vision snapped to where the commotion had come from.
"Manners," Aspel easily, yet firmly, chided the person cursing Lily's name with a smile remaining on her lips the entire time. "it was a simple mistake after all and I am certain that will come out quite easily. Please," A glance was given to those who had been in the ale spray range. "the next round is on me." Obtaining a cloth from the bartender, the smith moved forward, a kind smile on her face as she moved to place herself in front of Lily. "Come here." Aspel offered the cloth up in such a manner that she could wipe away any ale for the girl, or Lily could take the cloth and wipe it away herself and her tone was light, one some level amused but at the same time clearly sympathetic to the girls plight.
"Now," Aspel leaned in "I do believe I see a table in another corner where we may be able to cool our heels a bit." A subtle gesture was made towards Ari and Audrey, two long time friends at this point. "Would that suit your needs?" Leaning back Aspel tried to catch the girls' eyes for a moment before attempting to pat her arm. A glance was taken to the bartender. "I do believe the girl had an ale order to be delivered and I would like for a bottle of fine mead to be sent over to that table." A gesture was made towards where the other woman sat and her arm was easily offered to Lily, in attempts to draw her away from the crowd and towards a quieter area.
Regardless of if Lily followed along with Aspel or not, the smith would make her way over to the other women who had chosen to partake in the Duckling's fine atmosphere this eve. "Would lovely ladies, as yourselves, be inclined to entertain the company of two foolish knights this eve?" A slight smirk was given to Ari before Aspel began again. "I believe, if you fear what repercussions we may represent, then allow me to compensate with an offering if one of the finest meads the Duckling can provide, which shall be delivered shortly by the bartender."
