Who: Merri & Wil What: A long overdue visit Where: Wil's warehouse/ship When: Backdated; Saturday (11th) afternoon Rating: R Status: Complete!
He should have done this days ago.
Why Merrion had waited so long, and waited until Ari told him to, were numerous in reasons, and none of them, he knew, would sound good enough when he tried to explain to the captain why he hadn't shown up for nearly two weeks since the attack. It was unfair to the captain, really; Merrion had gone to visit him after what had happened with Quen to get his mind off of it but couldn't bring himself to see Wil after he had been hurt so badly, and all because Merrion's magic just hadn't been good enough. But to say that he hadn't visited until now because he was busy with practicing his new spells and attending council meetings was only part of the truth, and it wouldn't fly, not one bit.
But he did want to see the captain, and so when Ari asked, it had been an automatic answer. When he woke that morning, he left a note saying that he was out for the day and went about figuring out what he needed to bring to Wil outside of what he had already planned. Food, probably. Potions, but that was mostly for himself so that his sinuses wouldn't flare up around the kitten -- and he reminded himself to pick up more after the trip. On second thought... yes, he should probably bring some of his supply to the captain to replenish what he'd had to use during the attack. It was the very least Merrion could do.
His pack heavy with bottles and a large pie from the bazaar bakery in hand, he set out for the docks, heart pounding with apprehension. It's just the captain, Merrion told himself as he pushed into the warehouse, banishing away the images of the battle that they had fought here nearly a fortnight ago. You want to see him, and he... probably wants to see you, too. Right?
