He had to agree - it seemed like not that long ago that they'd celebrated Founder's Day. He wondered how much planning was going to be required of him; he'd have to talk to Bram and Aspel, maybe Karras. See what the Guild was responsible for. He knew that there would be the annual exhibition, and there was also the fact that he'd have to decide whether or not to participate. He always did, always fought against the Riskbreaker, too. But now he had to think of his position, and how it would look to have a Council member fighting against the guildmaster.
"Yeah," he said, shaking himself from his thoughts. "We definitely should. I'm sure Ari will be glad to have us there." He took a sip of his tea and sighed. "I've broached it, but no firm commitment, yet. I am determined, though," he added. "I need to get out of town for a little while. Aspel and Bram can handle things while I'm gone." They were capable.
Besides, he'd handled things when Aspel had practically taken a sabbatical. A week wasn't too much to ask; it wasn't like he'd even taken a proper vacation in the last year.
